Terms of Service

The rules that apply when accessing or using BlueQuest.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using BlueQuest, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Purpose of the service

BlueQuest provides coastal and marine information, community reporting, maps, weather, tide, discovery, and related app features. Information may be delayed, incomplete, user-submitted, or supplied by external providers. BlueQuest is not an emergency dispatch, navigation, medical, or professional safety service.

3. Accounts and security

  • Provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.
  • Do not share access or attempt to use another person’s account.
  • Notify support if you believe an account or device has been compromised.
  • You may delete your account using the methods described on the account deletion page.

4. Responsible use

  • Do not submit knowingly false, unlawful, abusive, dangerous, or misleading reports.
  • Do not upload content you lack the right to use or content that violates another person’s privacy.
  • Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, scrape protected data, or test security without written authorization.
  • Use independent judgment and contact the appropriate authority when immediate action is required.

5. User content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant BlueQuest permission to store, reproduce, format, display, moderate, de-identify, and share the content as reasonably needed to operate the report, safety, conservation, and public-interest features. This permission is limited by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6. External information and services

Features may use Google Maps Platform and Places, Open-Meteo, WorldTides, platform notification services, and app integrity services. Their availability, accuracy, and terms may differ from BlueQuest.

7. Availability and enforcement

We may maintain, change, restrict, or discontinue features and may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate abuse, or preserve service integrity.

8. No guarantee of field conditions

Ocean, weather, tide, wildlife, safety, and community report information can change rapidly. Verify important information with authoritative sources and qualified local personnel before making safety, travel, diving, or navigation decisions.

We may update these Terms as the service changes. The current version is identified by the date shown on this page. Questions can be sent to support@bluequest.info.
