Deleting an account is permanent. It removes access to the account and starts the data handling described below. Download or save anything you need before continuing.
Delete in the app
- Open BlueQuest and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Profile, then Settings.
- Choose Account Settings, then Delete Account.
- Confirm the warning and enter your current password to re-authenticate.
When the request succeeds, the account is marked deleted and the app signs out. This is the fastest method when you can access the account.

If you cannot sign in or have uninstalled BlueQuest, email support from the address registered to the account when possible. This page does not require you to reinstall or open the app.
- Use the subject “Request Account Deletion”.
- Include the registered email address or phone number and state that you want the BlueQuest account and associated personal data deleted.
- BlueQuest may ask for limited additional information to verify account ownership before processing the request.
Never send your password, one-time code, government ID, or payment information by email.
What the in-app process changes
- The account is placed in deleted status and can no longer be used normally.
- Name, email, optional phone number, occupation, password credential, settings, sessions, and push tokens are removed, cleared, or replaced with non-user values.
- The profile image and account notifications are removed.
- The account identifier is detached from reports and report comments.
What may be retained
- De-identified reports, associated report media, and comments used for marine safety, moderation, conservation, or public-interest records.
- Limited audit, security, anti-abuse, and system integrity records for as long as the relevant purpose or legal obligation continues.
- Records required to resolve an active dispute, protect users, prevent fraud, or comply with a lawful request.
Delete selected data only
BlueQuest does not currently provide a self-service workflow for deleting selected report data while keeping the account active. Contact support with the report reference and requested action so it can be reviewed.
